The Taupo-Nui-A-Tia Management Board has a challenging role to fulfill in terms of its management responsibilities for the beds of Lake Taupo and its tributaries. The extent and significance of this work is reflected in the proverbial saying below of the Ngati Tuwharetoa iwi.  This saying will help guide the Board in its work on behalf of Ngati Tuwharetoa and the public.
